Shannan Adams, HR Manager at the CLEAN Joplin facility has recently been recognized in an article by the local newspaper, The Joplin Globe. The article, “Breast Cancer Cause is Her Calling” by Mike Pound, details Shannan’s efforts in creating Clean’s first annual ‘Swing for Pink’ golf tournament.
The proceeds of the golf tournament will benefit a local non-profit organization Hope 4 You, who is committed to breast cancer awareness and service 12 counties in the 4-state area. Shannon is not a breast cancer survivor, nor are any of her close friends or family members. But just as Mike put it,
“Nice folks do nice things for other folks for a variety of reasons. Some do it because they have had experience with an issue or know someone who has. Some folks do nice things for others just because.
In the end, it really doesn’t matter.”
